About the Music
Tango Clarón is a piece for dedicated to the great bass clarinetist Sebastián Tozzola that tries to retain some of the Argentinian traditional music that he is great fan of, such as Tango and Chamamé with very passionate rhythms.
The single-movement piece lies mostly in the lower register of the bass clarinet, but does not require an extended-range instrument. The solo score is four pages in length, and published loose-leaf to avoid page turns.
Purchasing this edition will allow you to download PDF files for the music. If you would prefer to receive a hard-copy, please purchase that edition instead.

Duo Alea began performing music for bass clarinet and piano in 1996. As both performers searching for new repertoire and teachers working with students eager to develop as performers, it quickly became clear that there was a need for more repertoire featuring the bass clarinet. Filling this need became the mission of Alea Publishing & Recording.
